Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 October 2026
1. Who we are
BizReady ("BizReady", "we", "us") runs the website bizready.org. Our address is 62 3rd Ave, Linbro Park, Sandton 2090, Gauteng, South Africa. You can reach us on our contact page. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
2. What the service does
BizReady is a self-assessment tool for South African small businesses. You answer questions about your business and we give you an indicative readiness score, shown by area, and point out the gaps to work on first. Other services, such as a results report with a 90-day plan and help filling in funder or tender forms, are paid.
3. Your account
You sign up with an email address and a password, and confirm your email address using the link we send you. Keep your password private; you are responsible for what happens on your account. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
4. Your information and documents
Give us accurate information. If you upload documents, you must have the right to use them, and you should not upload other people's personal information unless it is needed and you are allowed to share it. Documents you upload and the answers you give stay yours; you allow us to process them to provide the service (see our Privacy Policy).
5. AI-assisted features
Some features use an AI service to read documents you upload and to suggest an action plan. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Check it before you rely on it, and never send it to a funder or a tender issuer without reviewing it yourself.
6. Free and paid parts
Your readiness score is free. Our other services are paid per use, and their prices are listed in the Pricing section of our home page. The final price is shown in South African Rand (ZAR) before you pay, and nothing is charged until you confirm. Payment is handled by PayFast; your card or bank login details are entered only on PayFast's or your bank's secure pages and are never seen or stored by us. Access to a paid service is switched on after PayFast confirms your payment.
If you were charged by mistake or twice, or you paid and did not get access, contact us and we will fix it or refund the payment. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break into or overload it, no automated scraping, no sharing your account, no uploading of unlawful or harmful files, and no use of the results to mislead others (for example, presenting the score as an official B-BBEE certificate).
8. Availability and accuracy
We work to keep the service running and the questions and guidance up to date, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Laws and requirements change, and the information may be incomplete or out of date.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that result from relying on a score, report or AI suggestion without checking it, for a tender, funding or contract that you do not win, or for interruptions outside our control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law that cannot be limited by agreement.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem. You may also approach the National Consumer Commission or the courts of South Africa.
